After recovering from quite a bad dose of COVID I took a brief trip into Birmingham City centre to photograph the starkness of the city completely bereft of shoppers, commuters and sightseers.
It was a very strange feeling with no one else there, the streets were completely empty, looking naked in the sunshine and isolated with all the shutters down on the shops.
But also a special opportunity to photograph my city without any obstructions or people in the shots.
The photographs give a completely different aspect to Birmingham City centre, I hope when you walk through Birmingham you can envisage how it looks completely empty. Something that I'm sure doesn't happen very often.
I'm working on having an exhibition of all the Lockdown images and will keep you posted as to when that might be.
Keep your chin up
